2 Chaminés from the great 2008 vintage are launched!

The 2008 harvest weather was the finest in memory, and it is no coincidence, why in our opinion, we feel the  Chaminé Tinto 2008 is one of the best red Chaminés to date!  Blended from ripe Alentejan fruit (49% Syrah and 45% Aragonez),  the aromas are subdued but open up to reveal red berry fruits, dark cherries and raspberry jam with some earthiness and hints of vanilla. The palate, which is solid and compact, shows abundant fruit flavor with mouth filling tannins which provide balance and structure.

Chaminé Branco 2008 is a blend of  Viognier, Antão Vaz, Verdelho and Semillon, it shows lifted floral aromas of pineapple, lime and jasmine spice with some smoke and flintiness. The palate is crisp and elegant with white peach and citric fruit flavours and complexing minerality. The finish is long with cleansing acidity.  Awarded a ‘Commended’ at the IWC 2009.

Both wines are bottled early, with no barrel aging, and are perfect served chilled for summer drinking!
