1.1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the terms and conditions under which the Online Shop Service is offered by Cortes de Cima S.A. with its registered office at Herdade Cortes de Cima, 7960-189 Vidigueira, with company number 503 409 987, hereinafter referred to as Cortes de Cima.
1.2. The purchase of any product from Cortes de Cima’s online shop implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.
1.3. Cortes de Cima S.A. may change freely and without prior notice the Terms and Conditions of Online Sales.
1.4. Online purchase of alcoholic beverages is only permitted in countries and other territories where the consumption of alcoholic beverages is legal and for persons who are legally permitted in their country of residence to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.
1.5. The User of this website must leave it if:
– not accept the Conditions;
– you are not of legal age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages in your country and/or other territory in which you are located;
– if you are in a country or other territory where the use of and/or access to this website is not permitted.
2.1. The images illustrating each product in Cortes de Cima may differ from the product delivered; the same products may also be out of stock.
2.2. Cortes de Cima does not sell defective products or products of inferior quality to the standards of those existing in the market.
2.3. The main features of each product shown in www.cortesdecima.com can be found on each product page.
2.4. The products offered for sale on www.cortesdecima.com may not correspond exactly to the actual products in terms of image and colors, due to the Internet browser and monitor used.
3.1. In accordance with Portuguese legislation, all prices displayed in the Cortes de Cima include the necessary VAT taxes, unless otherwise stated.
3.2. Shipping times are applied per order.

3.4. Shipping can be done free of charge for orders that exceed the minimum value defined on the website, depending on the country or campaign to which it relates.
3.5. Prices are shown in euros, so you should consider that there may be price divergence in terms of shipping costs depending on the country of delivery of the order.
3.6. The total price specified in the final checkout menu includes taxes and shipping costs.
3.7. The prices are fixed at the time of order confirmation. You must only pay the exact amount specified in the order confirmation and you must make individual payments for each order.
3.8. Price changes
3.8.1. The prices of the products presented on the website are subject to change. Cortes de Cima reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.
3.9. Pricing errors
3.9.1. Some products may have an inaccurate price, which is why Cortes de Cima checks the prices whenever it processes orders.
3.9.2. Please note that even if the website is updated with extreme attention, the price information on the website may contain errors, so the prices shown are merely indicative and do not constitute a contractual proposal.
3.9.3. If the effective price of the product is lower than the advertised price, Cortes de Cima will refund the difference.
3.9.4. If the price is higher, Cortes de Cima will inform the customer of such a situation, by e-mail, and will wait, for a period of 15 calendar days, from the date on which the e-mail was sent, for its decision to accept the new price or cancel the order.
3.9.5. The promotions published in the Cortes de Cima online store may not apply to the physical store located at Herdade Cortes de Cima, 7960-189 Vidigueira.
4.1. To order on www.cortesdecima.com it is necessary that the user has an e-mail account and that their browser is configured to accept cookies and pop-ups, to allow the enjoyment of all the navigability conditions of the Cortes de Cima online shop.
4.2. The fulfillment of all orders placed on the website is subject to availability.
4.3. Cortes de Cima tries to ensure that all items offered for sale on the website are in stock.
4.4. To order
4.4.1. Find the products you want to purchase;
4.4.2. Add the selected products to the cart;
4.4.3. Finalize the selection of products;
4.4.4. Select the payment option;
4.4.5. Review your order;
4.4.6. Proceed with the payment;
4.4.7. You will receive an order confirmation by email.
4.4.8. Your order is confirmed at the moment you select the “Confirm Payment” button (Checkout) at the end of the purchase process.
4.4.9. You will automatically receive an email with your order number and all the details of the order.
4.4.11. The formalization of the order does not in itself constitute a reservation of the products.
4.5. Data verification
4.5.1. After receiving the order, Cortes de Cima reserves the right to confirm the address, credibility, and fraud verification data.
4.5.2. Regarding fraud checking, Cortes de Cima will perform partially automated checks on all orders to filter out unusual, suspicious, or identified transactions as susceptible to fraud.
4.6. Right not to accept the order or cancel the purchase
4.6.1. We reserve the right not to accept your order, or to cancel it even after the order has been automatically confirmed.
4.6.2. We also reserve the right to cancel any purchase, even if it has already been accepted by Cortes de Cima, namely in the following situations:
– the product is no longer available/in stock (payments will be refunded);
– the billing information is not accurate or verifiable;
– the order is flagged by our Security Systems as an incorrect order or an order susceptible to fraud;
– the transfer for payment of the order has not been received by us within 5 working days of acceptance of your order;
– if there are indications or information that you may not be of legal age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages as permitted in your country of residence;
– in the event of an error in the pricing of the product;
– if it is not possible to deliver the order to the place/country indicated for this purpose.
4.6.3. In any of the above situations, Cortes de Cima will inform the client via e-mail.
4.6.4. If an order has been placed and payment has been made for products that are no longer available, Cortes de Cima will refund the amount paid for the unavailable items.
5.1. After confirming the order placed in Cortes de Cima, an email will be sent to the registered contact person with all the information regarding delivery, invoicing, payment information, products and prices.
5.2. In such cases where the customer does not receive the email confirming the order, it is requested to contact Cortes de Cima by e-mail: email@example.com or by telephone +351 284 460 060 so that the notification is sent again to the customer’s email.
5.3. Cortes de Cima requests all customers to confirm the details of the same.
5.4. If any of the information provided by the customer appears incorrect and/or the customer wishes to change the information while the order has not yet been shipped, the customer is requested to contact us by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone +351 284 460 060 as soon as possible so that the requested change can be made internally.
5.5. Changes in the details of orders already shipped will have to be analyzed by the Cortes de Cima team so that, together with the customer, a more appropriate solution can be found.
5.6. All orders at Cortes de Cima will only be processed after the effective receipt of payment, which must occur within a maximum period of 15 days from the date of the order. At the end of this period, the order will be automatically canceled.
5.7. You can find the payment methods at the time of checkout. We do not accept any other payment method other than those mentioned. Please do not attempt to pay by any means other than specified. If you do so, we cannot be held liable for loss of payment or any other damages that may arise therefrom.
5.8. In the case of payment by Bank Transfers, all details (IBAN and SWIFT) will be sent by e-mail, without third parties having access to the transmitted information.
5.9. If you choose to pay by ATM Reference, all details (entity and amount) will be sent by email. This may take a few hours. Once 3 days have elapsed after placing the order and if we have not received any payment, it will be voided.
5.10. If you choose to pay by MBWAY, all details (telephone contact) will be sent by email, which may take a few hours. Once 3 days have elapsed after placing the order and if we have not received any payment, it will be voided.
5.11. This information will not be used by Cortes de Cima except to carry out the necessary procedures for the purchase or return, in the case of a return, under the exercise of the right of refund or for communication to the competent authorities in case of suspicion of fraud.
6. Order Security
6.1. Cortes de Cima’s online shop uses one of the most secure security technologies among the encryption platforms available on the market.
6.2. Your payment information will be encrypted from the moment the data is entered until your transaction is processed and will not be stored on a public server.
6.3. Although we use encryption software, the security of information and payments transmitted over the Internet or via e-mail cannot be guaranteed.
6.4. Cortes de Cima cannot be held liable for any damage suffered as a result of the use of electronic means of communication, including, but not limited to, recurrent damages due to failures or delays in the delivery of electronic communications, interception or manipulation of electronic communications by third parties or by computer programs used for communications or virus transmissions.
7. Shipping and Delivery
7.1. Except for rare exceptions beyond the control of Cortes de Cima, all orders completed and paid by Bank Transfer, ATM Reference, or MBWAY*, will be dispatched on the same day, if the payment has been made by 12:00 on a business day. Orders paid after this time will be shipped on the following business day, except for products that indicate limited stock.
7.2. The payment option by bank transfer will have a confirmation period that may vary between 1 to 3 days (depending on the country of origin of the transfer). In this payment method, Cortes de Cima has no control over the execution time of the bank transaction, which is the responsibility of the Customer’s Bank. In these cases, the order will be shipped on the day we receive confirmation of payment from the bank.
*The above-mentioned payment methods are not available for all countries.
7.4. If we have any questions related to the order (delivery address, payment confirmation, out-of-stock products, etc.), we will contact the customer via email or telephone contact. We will wait for a response within three business days. The order will not be shipped until we get a response to our message. If we do not get any response within this period, we will cancel the order and refund the customer.
7.5. To send orders to the requested address, the shipping option must be chosen – National Shipping (in the case of mainland Portugal and Islands) and International Shipping (in the case of other countries), as long as it is from a country mentioned in the list of countries available in the Delivery menu.
7.5.1. Cortes de Cima cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery of orders during festive seasons (Sales, Carnival, Easter, Christmas, New Year’s Eve) and the customer must, as a precaution, send an e-mail to email@example.com to confirm if it will be delivered within the stipulated time.
7.6. Products will be delivered on business days, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. This service does not include the option of scheduling or scheduling, so the delivery of the order will be made without prior contact by the carrier.
7.7. A delivery is deemed to have been made or a product is deemed to have been delivered with the signature of the delivery receipt to the address indicated by the consumer.
7.8. If the order is confirmed on a working day until 12:00 and the payment is made, the order will be sent on the next working day (weekends and holidays are not considered working days).
7.9. Payment by ATM reference may take between 5 and 7 days to be received, and only after payment confirmation will the shipment be processed.
7.10. Cortes de Cima cannot be held liable for non-compliance, or delay in complying, with the deadlines due to a force majeure event, that is, to an event, act, or omission, beyond its control.
7.11. Cortes de Cima is not responsible for shipments made to countries where the respective law does not allow the entry of alcoholic beverages.
7.12. It is the responsibility of the customers to seize the respective orders, as well as to pay customs fees, if any.
7.13. In case of return of the products, Cortes de Cima will only refund the amount corresponding to them. In case of doubts, the customer can contact Cortes de Cima before ordering.
7.14. Cortes de Cima has contracted services with specialized carriers for deliveries in Portugal, Europe, and most countries in the world. Every effort is made to meet the shipping and delivery deadlines, however, it should be noted that possible delays in deliveries may be of a nature unrelated to Cortes de Cima, and it is not possible, in these cases, to guarantee exact delivery times.
7.15. After the shipment of the orders, the information for tracking the shipment will be available in the account of the customers who have placed the order with registration and a notification is also sent via e-mail with the information of the link for tracking the shipment to all registered and unregistered customers. If for any reason the customer does not receive the shipment confirmation, they are requested to contact Cortes de Cima by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone +351 284 460 060 so that all available information about the shipment of the order can be sent again.
7.16. After the shipment notification, customers must follow the status of the shipment through the link provided by Cortes de Cima, so that they are aware of the status of evolution until the moment of delivery of the order since Cortes de Cima does not notify each change in the status of the shipment.
7.17. Partial Deliveries
7.17.1. If the order has as its object several products and Cortes de Cima is unable to send it at once due to the unavailability of any of them, it will proceed with the shipment separately, upon prior notice to the customer to the e-mail indicated by the customer in the order.
7.18. Inspection at the time of delivery
7.18.1. All products sent by Cortes de Cima must be checked at the time of delivery.
7.18.2. If the customer finds that the order is damaged, he/she must immediately return it to the transport company, duly justify the reason for the return on the carrier’s delivery note, and immediately notify Cortes de Cima by e-mail: email@example.com.
7.18.3. Cortes de Cima will refund the amounts paid for the order and transport as soon as the warehouse receives and completes the return process.
8. Failure to receive the order
8.1. In the event of an unsuccessful delivery attempt by the transport company due to absence, a notice will be left in the customer’s mailbox with the carrier’s instructions.
8.2. If for any reason the customer cannot receive the order or pick it up at the location indicated by the carrier, he/she must contact Cortes de Cima so that together with it the most appropriate solution can be found.
8.3. Any claim of non-receipt of an order must be made within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of placing the order. At the end of this period, Cortes de Cima cannot be held responsible for the loss of the same.
9.1. Under the terms of the legislation in force, Cortes de Cima recognizes to all its customers the right to terminate the contracts entered with it, allowing them to return the products within 14 days.
9.2. Cancellation of the order before shipment
9.2.1. The customer can cancel the order if it has not yet been shipped.
9.2.2. If the customer places an order and wishes to cancel it, he/she must immediately contact Cortes de Cima by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
9.2.3. If the cancellation request is successful, the customer will be notified by email of this decision and the cancellation will be processed at no cost to the customer.
9.2.4. If the cancellation request is not possible, the products will be sent to the customer who, if he maintains his intention to cancel the order, must refuse to receive them.
9.2.5. The customer can always proceed with the return according to the conditions and rules of return mentioned below.
10.1. Return of products due to withdrawal
10.1.1 If for any reason you are not satisfied with the products, you may return them within 15 calendar days of receipt, provided that the product is in perfect condition, and where applicable with its original packaging, accessories, or promotional offers included, and accompanied by proof of purchase or invoice, and provided that it is not shown to be adulterated in any way or by any means. In these cases, the return costs must be borne by the buyer.
10.2. Return of defective products
10.2.1. The customer has the right to return the delivered products if they are found to be defective. If this is confirmed by the specialized team of Cortes de Cima, the product will be exchanged or returned at no cost to the customer.
10.2.2. The return can be made within 15 days after receipt of the order.
10.2.3. Cortes de Cima is not responsible for deficiencies arising from incorrect use, negligence, poor storage conditions, or force majeure.
10.2.4. Once the merchandise is received at Cortes de Cima’s facilities and after validating its status, its value will be refunded according to the payment method made by the customer.
10.2.5. Cortes de Cima will refund you or send the order, in case of exchange, being notified of the status of your order by email/SMS.
Conditions applicable to Promo Codes (discounts)
1. When used according to its terms, a promotion code entitles the user to a one-time promotion/discount relating to the purchase of a specific product or for a set of products, during the period indicated/associated with the promotional code/promotional campaign.
2. Promotion codes can only be used for online purchases made on the website. The sale, exchange, or donation of a promo code is not permitted. The customer holding the promotional code may not upload or make available a promotional code on any website or other public form of offer, donation, sale, or exchange. Promotional codes are not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.
3. The promo code relates to the Cortes de Cima brand. The use of the promo code in connection with another brand, company, or name is not permitted. It is also not allowed to use the promotional code in an illegal, abusive, or disrespectful way, as well as in any other way that may damage the reputation of Cortes de Cima.
4. The use of the promotional code is only subject to one use per product and order. Promo codes cannot be combined with any other promotions or special offers.
5. Promo codes are not exchangeable/exchangeable for cash.
6. Cortes de Cima is under no obligation to reissue or refund promotional codes. However, if Cortes de Cima decides to reissue or refund a promo code, you need to have access to the initial promo code. To do this, it is necessary that you keep a copy of your promotional code, otherwise it cannot be reissued or replaced in case of loss.
7. In cases where Cortes de Cima reissues/refunds the promotional code, the discount of this amount can only be applied to a purchase of an amount equal to or greater than the purchase in which the discount/promotional code was issued.
8. Without prejudice to any other rights, Cortes de Cima may have/has the right to immediately invalidate the promotional code if Cortes de Cima has reason to suspect that a promotional code is being used: in violation of the above-mentioned assumptions, by usurpation or in other cases where Cortes de Cima has reason to do so.

Cortes de Cima shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use of (or inability to use) the Websites, including damages caused by viruses or any incorrectness, or incompleteness of the Information, unless such damage is the result of any willful misconduct or from negligence on the part of Cortes de Cima.
1. These general conditions and all disputes arising from these general conditions, including their validity, the use of the website, or any purchase on it shall be governed by Portuguese Law, namely by Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of 14 February, as amended by Law No. 47/2014, of 28/07.
2. All purchases made on the Cortes de Cima website are subject to Portuguese law and any conflict or divergence of interpretation of the General Conditions of Online Sale will be submitted to the competent Portuguese Court.
