Cortes de Cima Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the ‘noble’ Bordeaux varieties. A late ripener, it is better suited for warmer climates, like Alentejo, where it can reach a good maturity, resulting in wines of intense concentration and color, strong tannins and aromatic complexity

Vintage 2015

Characterized by very favorable growing season conditions and led to one of the best vintages in recent years. Cold and dry winter, warm and dry summer, free of heat waves, dry September.

Vinification

Made exclusively from selected CS grapes picked at optimum maturity from chosen sites in our own vineyards. Fermented without stems under temperature control, frequent delestage, followed by extended skin maceration to enhance varietal fruit characters, and to provide tannin structure and balance. Aged for 12 months in French (100%) oak barrels.

Our Winemaker´s comments

Displaying characteristic aromas of mint, bell pepper and blackcurrant. It is elegant and intensely flavoured with sweet fruit and well structured and well integrated grainy tannins.
