LOUR-INHO by Anna Jørgensen comes from Alvarinho and Loureiro vineyards planted in the fresh sands of the Atlantic coast

Vinification

From our vineyards, planted in the sandy soils of the cool Alentejan Atlantic coast, we have selected a blend of Alvarinho(75%) and Loureiro(25%). Hand harvested in the cool of night, the grapes were hand sorted before whole cluster pressing followed by 24 hours of cold settling.
Alvarinho and Loureiro fermented with ambient yeast and aged respectively in Slovenian foudre of 2000l and used French oak barrels of 500l for 10 months followed by 8 months on fine lees in tank. Light filtration before bottling.
Soils: Sandy over volcanic sandstone
